International Carwash Association Sponsors Grace For Vets

Mike Mountz, Founder of Grace for Vets, today announced that the International Carwash Association has agreed to sponsor the organization and provide ongoing support for the worldwide program. The ICA, in conjunction with a volunteer board, will continue Mountz's efforts in holding a one day event on Veterans Day where carwash operators offer free carwashes to military veterans and active duty personnel. Started in 2004, the event has grown to include over 2800 carwash

locations in four countries. Grace for Vets washed over 230,000 cars for free during the 2014 event.

"I am thrilled to see Grace for Vets continue with the support of the ICA. I was concerned that my retirement from the industry would mean the end of Grace for Vets, but the ICA has stepped up to continue this great event well into the future", stated Mountz.

Gary Dennis, President of the ICA added, "We are so pleased to be involved with Grace for Vets. It is such a great program and has done so much to publicize our industry’s philanthropy and support of our military." The Grace for Vets Volunteer Group will be chaired by Mountz with Mark Curtis, Past President and current board member of the ICA, serving as its President.

Grace for Vets will continue to welcome all carwash operators to participate in the program and wants to stress that ICA membership is not required to participate. All interested washes are welcome to visit the website - graceforvets.org - to sign up for this year's event on Veterans Day, November 11th. The website includes easy to-follow instructions on how to participate, plus free marketing materials to help washes promote the event.
